Guest Speaker - Carolyn Eslick (2026)
Growing up on a farm and working with her mother at a dry cleaner by age 11 taught Carolyn Eslick the value of hard work and commitment to purpose. As a restaurant owner for more than 20 years, Carolyn learned firsthand the complexities of running a business. Looking to help others start and grow their own businesses, she founded and helped manage GROW Washington, a business development and retail incubator.
As a small-business owner in Sultan, Carolyn learned how to face adversity head-on. When new retail shops sought to place their entrances along Highway 2 instead of Main Street, the heart of the city, she fought for a better solution. That experience helped launch her service in local government. After serving on the Sultan City Council, she served more than nine years as mayor of Sultan. Carolyn was appointed to the state House of Representatives in 2017 and later elected to represent the 39th District.
As a local official and now as a state representative, Carolyn has shown an unwavering commitment to finding solutions on behavioral health, housing and public safety. She is also a strong advocate for substance use prevention, treatment and recovery for youth and adults. A former board member for the Boys & Girls Club, Carolyn believes in helping young people reach their full potential.
Carolyn lives in Sultan with her husband, Chuck Donaldson, a retired high school shop and agriculture teacher. They have a blended family with six children and eight grandchildren.
