From all the citizens of Alder City, we believe our flag captures the togetherness and connections that make our community the way it is.
At the center, the flag features an atom, with the alder leaf at the center representing the nucleus. This representation symbolizes the shared identity of our city, and is a metaphor for our honor and respect towards our namesake tree. Additionally, the radiating red and yellow lines extending from the central emblem compares the alder tree to the sun, reinforcing our city’s #1 Rule: Alder First.
On both sides, there are stripes in varying shapes of green that symbolize the diversity of the city’s people and experiences, and also represent the various species of fauna that reside in our city.
Together, these various parts of our flag perfectly illustrate how we as a city live: unified and free.
